School Aim

Linton Primary School aims to achieve a culture of collective responsibility promoting inclusion, personalised teaching, differentiated learning and happy, healthy and resilient students.

Linton Primary School is an inclusive school where our students feel valued, cared for, and have a sense of belongingness.

As a small school, we pride ourselves upon the ability to provide a nurturing environment that promotes independence through challenging experiences, a passion and enthusiasm for learning which ultimately prepares students to become reflective, valued members in a global society. We believe in a holistic approach to teaching and learning supporting the growth of the whole child offering quality learning opportunities where students can achieve the best possible outcomes.

The students participate in many specialist programs such as The Arts – Visual and Performing Arts, Physical Education, Science, and Languages Other Than English (AUSLAN). Students have access to an exciting array of extra- and intra-curriculum programs that enhance personal and academic achievement within the school in partnership with other small schools including Cape Clear, Napoleons, and Woady Yaloak Primary Schools.

We are very proud of our student's achievements and we look forward to the future with confidence.

At Linton Primary School teachers and staff are committed to the educational needs and growth of students.

Students learn in an encouraging, relaxed and studious environment.

Teachers specialise in composite classrooms giving the students the benefits of many years experience.

Additional classroom support is provided by education support (ES) staff members.

Linton Primary School is a small rural school located in the township on Linton, 30km southwest of Ballarat on 1.5 acres of grounds with birdlife and native vegetation within and beyond the school. A mix of linked building structures with open spaces and spaces available for specialist teaching activity characterise the diverse and flexible arrangement of facilities.

The school's values are Responsibility, Respect and Pride, which are echoed in its vision: 'Fostering responsible, proud and respectful citizens'.

Linton Primary School is always looking to maximise learning opportunities for all students through engaging in excursions, camps, incursions, and special activity days including sports programs involving neighbouring schools.

We are very proud of our student's achievements and we look forward to the future with confidence.

Linton Primary School

The school has recently completed an external building upgrade of $285,000 making the school building meet the new standards for the bushfire season and shelter in place. In 2022, our school will be involved in a $1.98 million-dollar upgrade within the building.

This new design will provide our students with the best possible contemporary learning environment both inside the building and the grounds with a new full-sized Basketball/Netball court, Library and new toilet facilities.

The new building works will begin in August 2022 and when completed, the school will have the capacity to cater for up to 50 students.

Keep an eye on our Facebook page for further developments of the building upgrade.
